On Saturday 7th of October the All Ireland Junior cup competition opens with Newcastle West 1st XV playing Creggs from Co. Galway at 2.30 pm in Cullinagh.

This competition pits the best of Irish Junior rugby together in what is now recognised as the ultimate award for junior clubs.

The club was knocked out of this competition in last years semi-final when the were beaten by eventual winners Clogher Valley.
Home advantage brings a great day to our club where Creggs will be making their first visit to Newcastle West.
