We’re on the  road again !

Newcastle West RFC 1st XV continuetheire journey in the All Ireland Junior Cup when they head for the southside of Dublin to take on Seapoint RFC in thequarter-finall of this national competition .Qualification for this competition takes the top four junior teams from each province from the previous season and pits them together in what defines the quality of Irish junior rugby. A heartbreakingg defeat in thesemi-finall last year against eventual winners Clogher Valley whats  the appetite for what should be another classic encounter .The opening games of this season have not been an ideal foundation with three losses in the league.But performances have improved steadily and one would write off this team’s chances at your peril. If you are making your way to the leafy suburbs of south Dublin wear the black and white with pride and always remember it’s the journey that’s important not just the destination.
